Hello! My name is Jamie Larson. I’m the kindergarten teacher at St. Dominic School, a community I feel deeply connected to both as an educator and as a former parent.
My career path began with a degree in Psychology from Bemidji State University, but after a fulfilling experience volunteering in my son’s Early Head Start classroom over a decade ago, I discovered a new passion. This led me to earn a Master’s in Early Childhood Education from Concordia-St. Paul and begin my journey teaching young children, a path I’ve followed for almost two decades.
As a proud product of Catholic schools, I’m thrilled to integrate my faith with my love of teaching here at St. Dominic. As a child, I attended Ss. Peter and Paul’s Catholic School in Mankato, MN, was involved in the youth group at St. John the Baptist and served as an usher for my church.
I currently reside in Dundas with my husband Alex, who can be classified as a Northfield “Townie,” and our two children, Matthias and Natasha. Outside of the classroom, I enjoy camping, reading, writing, and playing video games, which help me stay young at heart.
