Alicia Jacobsen, Counselor

Alicia Jacobsen is available on Tuesdays at St. Dominic School.

I started my career as a middle school teacher after graduating from Minnesota State University, Mankato, with a Bachelor of Science. I went on to earn a Master of Arts in Counseling and Psychotherapy from Adler Graduate School and then worked briefly in the field before staying home to raise our children. After earning post-graduate licensure in School Counseling, I have worked as a contract school counselor and graduate school advisor. I love being a school counselor because I can combine my interests in teaching, parenting, and ministering to students and families.

My husband and I live in rural Lakeville and we’re now empty nesters who spend way too much time with our dog. We have three grown children and in their years at home, we were an active family of skiers, hikers, and foodies. Reading and cooking are my favorite pastimes. I grew up in Owatonna and just love small-town life and community. It brings me great joy to be back at St Dominic School for another year.
