What are the school hours?

8:00 a.m. Drop off begins for Preschool-8th Grade
8:15 a.m. Classes begin for Preschool-8th grade
2:25 p.m. School day ends for Preschool-Pre-Kindergarten
2:35 p.m. School day ends for Kindergarten-8th Grade

Is before and after-school care available?

Yes. Our extended day program is called “Saint Watch.” Click here for more information

Is bus service available?

Yes! Bussing is available to students in grades K-8. Students must live within the Northfield District boundaries to qualify. Click here to complete the Bus form.

Do students attend Mass?

Yes. Beginning in Kindergarten, students attend Mass every Wednesday at 8:20 a.m. Holy days are also observed.

Preschool and Prekindergarten students attend Mass one time per month on Holy days and special occasions.

Do students have a dress code?

Yes. Students in Kindergarten-Grade 4 are required to follow our school dress code. Please review the Dress Code Policy for details. St. Dominic clothing can be purchased through our school office, Lands End, and Larson Printing.

Preschool and Prekindergarten students do not follow the dress code; however, we do request that their outfits are appropriate and adhere to broad guidelines listed in the Dress Code Policy.

Middle school students (grades 5-8) do not follow the dress code; however, we do require that their clothing is appropriate and adhere to the broad guidelines listed in the Dress Code Policy.

What extracurricular activities are available?

How do we learn about everything in our first year?

We are happy to pair you with a host family who will be your guide and provide answers about everything from the dress code to fundraisers to classroom activities. School staff is also available to answer your questions!

Can parents volunteer?

Yes! We do require our families to complete 10 hours of volunteering each year. There are numerous volunteer opportunities available! Click HERE for more information on volunteering.

What type of school communication should we expect?

Each Thursday, you will receive an email with our weekly Saintly News newsletter. On Thursdays, you may also receive a folder from your youngest student with forms or sign-up sheets for upcoming events. Teachers periodically send newsletters and memos with classroom updates and activity information. The school website and Facebook page also provide reminders and updates.
