Strategic planning is an organization’s process of defining its strategy, or direction, and making decisions on allocating resources to pursue this strategy. Strategy generally involves setting goals, determining actions to achieve the goals, and mobilizing resources to execute the actions. A strategy describes how the goals will be achieved by the means resources.
The Principal of St. Dominic School, along with School Advisory members, teachers and staff have defined the STRATEGIC PLAN for the 2015-16 school year.
RISE UP with Principal Vicki Marvin
Dear Friends of St. Dominic,
In 2015-16, we drew inspiration from the acronym RISE UP: Respect, Integrity, Service, Excellence, Understanding and Perseverance. By living out these values on a daily basis, students and staff honored each other and the mission of St. Dominic School to be a place for educational excellence, spiritual growth, and service to God and others.
We also added a new tagline to our logo which now reads, “St. Dominic School; Rich in Academics, Rooted in Faith.” The tagline is a direct reflection of our mission statement, our history and our future. The unique combination of academic rigor and faith tradition has always been, and will always be, what makes St. Dominic School a special place to learn and grow.
Our mission is not one we take lightly, nor does achieving it come easily or without the support of our entire St. Dominic Community. So many give time, talent and treasure throughout the school year to keep St. Dominic School rich in academics and rooted and in faith. We thank you for RISING UP along side of us.
Sincerely, Vicki Kalina Marvin
